Welcome to Lion God

Lion GodJust like the participants in the TV series Grumpy Old Men, when, as a child, I saw Tomorrows World presented by Raymond Baxter, I thought the future would be a wonderful place. Technology held out so many possibilities but I came to realise with age that this was an empty promise.

With so many different perspectives about what is right or wrong, reaching agreement between individuals or groups is always an issue. From my perspective I always thought that academics were likely to be right. We go to school with the objective of passing exams and and moving to the next level. It is taken for granted that the higher the exam grade or level you reach the more intelligent you are. However, once you you need to make money, lead others, or innovate, exams do not reflect a persons intelligence or their ability to understand. The human notion of "expert" is flaunted to mean never wrong. It is also assumed that an expert in one field will automatically know best in another.

If you have a questioning mind and the inclination you will see that experts still display blindness and dogma that passes for human nature. There are still mysteries to be solved.

I do not have credentials to hide behind and I admit to making mistakes, but there are times when you have to say, "the Emperor is not wearing any clothes."
